Expeditions that are challenging, yet safe and supportive
Welcome to the Venture Force teacher page! Here you will find an overview of our expediton credentials and links to the development opportunities we can offer your students. Our motto is ‘Big enough to cope, small enough to care’. We ensure that we get to know every school, teacher, parent, and student that we work with. We want everyone involved to feel they can get in touch with us whenever they need to, knowing they will be greeted by a friendly member of staff who is knowledgeable about their expedition.
We are proud of our expedition credentials and that we …
- have been delivering school and adult expeditions for over 10 years
- are fully accredited and inspected by the Expedition Providers Association (please check their website)
- are holders of the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge
- are inspected and licenced by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority
- are ATOL bonded
- are fully insured and provide comprehensive medical and repatriation insurance
- provide 2 fully qualified and experienced expedition leaders on every expedition + 2 teachers providing pastoral care and augmenting the leadership team
- lead overseas expeditions supported by 'Remote Medical Services'
- lead expeditions supported by our 24hr Emergency Operations Room, to support our teams who are supplied with a comprehensive communications package
We are unique in sending two Venture Force leaders and two teachers as the leadership team on every expedition. For us this is best practice. It ensures not only a vast range of experience on each expedition but also that no teacher will be left alone to manage any unforeseen circumstance. It also provides capacity for members of the leadership team to take some time to themselves, refresh and maintain drive and enthusiasm. Our leaders are selected for not just their qualifications but also their travel experience and, just as importantly, their life experience. We would love for you to throw yourself headlong into what will be a remarkable experience. Our leaders are there to manage the expedition and support you in your role within the leadership team.
In the expedition build-up, our core team will take the burden of planning and administration away from you. In school, we don’t want your time to be taken up with chasing documents and payments. Let us take the load.
